ANDREW S. KANE, OBE CPA (IA), FCA

As Managing Director and COO, Andy is actively engaged in PCG’s operations and its portfolio companies. With a business career spanning over thirty-five years, he has a wealth of experience in business and organizational governance, entrepreneurial ventures, executive management in finance operations as well as in the banking, real estate and professional services industries.

Prior to PCG, Mr. Kane was COO and CFO of an international fitness distributor until its sale, and before that served as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of HSBC’s Private Bank in Southern California and was a participant on the HSBC Private Bank’s global management team. For twenty-eight years until Arthur Andersen’s collapse in 2002, Mr. Kane served in various management positions with that firm. During his years at Andersen, he also specialized in consulting with clients engaged in international investment in the USA.

Mr. Kane earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with Honors in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics.  He is a Chartered Accountant in the United Kingdom (FCA) and a Certified Public Accountant in California (inactive) and the United States (CPA).  He is also certified by UCLA as a NASDAQ Board Director, a Member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).  In the late 1990s, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II awarded Mr. Kane with the honor of the chivalry order as an Officer of the British Empire (OBE) for services in the United States related to British commercial interests.

In addition to PCG and its portfolio companies, presently serves on the Board of Directors of East West Bank, and on the Advisory Board of the Chamberlain Group, an integrated wealth management and insurance practice focused on ultra-high net worth families. His other board appointments have included the LA World Affairs Council, United Way of Los Angeles, Center Theatre Group (Los Angeles Music Center), British American Business Council, British Olympic Association (LA Chapter), American Friends of the London School of Economics, the Boards of Visitors for UCLA Medical Center, the Temple of the Arts, Beverly Hills Performing Arts Center, the California Hospital Foundation and the USC Lusk Real Estate School.
